Refund policy

Returns, Refunds & Withdrawal Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Every Mimic3DPrint piece is produced and handled with care, and we want you to know exactly what happens if something goes wrong or if you need to return an eligible order.

This policy explains our procedures for withdrawals, returns, damaged items, non-conforming products and refunds.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights granted by applicable law.

1. Before Requesting a Return

Please contact us before sending any item back.

Email: info@mimic3dprint.it

Please include:

  • your order number;

  • the product concerned;

  • the reason for contacting us;

  • photographs where the product is damaged, incorrect or defective.

We will provide the appropriate return instructions and return address.

Contacting us first helps ensure that fragile resin parts are packaged and handled correctly.

This procedure does not restrict any statutory right to withdraw from an eligible purchase.

2. Right of Withdrawal for EU Consumers

If you are a consumer located in the European Union and purchase an eligible product online, you normally have the right to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw before the withdrawal period expires.

You may contact us at:

info@mimic3dprint.it

Your message should clearly identify the order and state that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.

You do not need to provide a reason.

3. Returning a Product After Withdrawal

After notifying us of your withdrawal, the goods must be sent back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you communicated your decision to withdraw.

Unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods when exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.

Because resin collectibles can be fragile, the product must be packaged carefully for its return journey.

Where reasonably possible, we strongly recommend reusing the original protective packaging.

The absence of original packaging does not automatically remove a statutory right of withdrawal, but the customer remains responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the product.

4. Condition of Returned Products

During the withdrawal period, you may inspect the product as reasonably necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and condition.

You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling that goes beyond what would normally be necessary for such inspection.

For resin collectibles and kits, actions that may materially affect the value of the product can include, depending on the circumstances:

  • sanding or filing parts;

  • cutting or modifying components;

  • gluing or permanently assembling parts;

  • drilling or pinning;

  • applying primer;

  • applying paint, varnish or other coatings;

  • altering the original sculpt;

  • damaging parts through incorrect handling or assembly.

Any deduction from a refund will be assessed according to the actual reduction in value and applicable law.

5. Made-to-Order Products

Many Mimic3DPrint products are produced only after an order is received.

A standard catalogue product being made to order does not, by itself, automatically make the product personalised or remove a statutory right of withdrawal.

Where a customer orders one of our standard products using the normal options offered on the product page, applicable withdrawal rights remain available unless another lawful exception applies.

6. Custom and Personalised Products

The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to goods made according to the customer's individual specifications or goods that are clearly personalised.

This may include, depending on the specific order:

  • individually requested colour schemes;

  • modifications to the original model;

  • custom inscriptions or personalised elements;

  • dimensions or scales produced specifically outside our standard available options;

  • bespoke bases or components;

  • customer-specific configurations;

  • other modifications individually agreed with the customer.

Where an order involves substantial customisation, we may confirm in writing before production that the product is being produced according to the customer's individual specifications.

The exclusion of the right of withdrawal for a personalised product does not affect the customer's rights if the item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly produced or otherwise does not conform to the agreed specifications.

7. Cancelling an Order Before Dispatch

If you need to cancel an order that has not yet been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible.

For standard products, any mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected even if production has already started.

For custom or personalised products, cancellation may not be possible once the order has been accepted or production has begun.

Where no statutory cancellation right applies, we may still agree to a cancellation at our discretion if production has not progressed significantly.

Any such agreement will be confirmed in writing.

8. Damaged Items

Resin collectibles may contain delicate components and are packed carefully to reduce the risk of transport damage.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Include:

  • your order number;

  • photographs of the shipping box;

  • photographs of the protective packaging;

  • photographs clearly showing the damaged component.

Please keep the original packaging until the matter has been resolved, as the shipping carrier may request evidence.

We may ask for additional photographs or information where reasonably necessary to determine the most appropriate solution.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • replacement of the damaged component;

  • replacement of the product;

  • repair;

  • another appropriate remedy;

  • refund where required.

Promptly reporting transport damage makes it substantially easier for us to investigate a carrier claim, but failure to report it immediately does not remove any mandatory consumer rights.

9. Incorrect Items

If you receive a product, scale or finish different from what you ordered, please contact us before returning anything.

Where the error is ours, we will arrange an appropriate remedy at no additional cost to you.

This may include replacement, correction or refund depending on the circumstances.

10. Faulty or Non-Conforming Products

Products sold to consumers are covered by the mandatory legal guarantee of conformity provided by applicable consumer law.

If a product is faulty, does not correspond to its description or does not conform to what was agreed, please contact us.

Where applicable, available remedies may include:

  • repair;

  • replacement;

  • price reduction;

  • termination of the contract and refund.

The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances and applicable law.

Where a return is required because a product is legally non-conforming, the consumer will not be required to bear the necessary return costs.

11. What Is Normal for an Unpainted Resin Kit?

Unpainted resin kits are hobby products and require a certain level of preparation.

Unless the product listing expressly states otherwise, characteristics such as the following are not automatically defects:

  • small marks where printing supports were removed;

  • minor sanding or surface preparation requirements;

  • visible print-layer traces in limited areas;

  • minor seams between separately printed components;

  • the need for test-fitting;

  • the need for small amounts of filling;

  • parts requiring assembly;

  • minor tolerances between resin components.

These characteristics must remain consistent with the product description and reasonable expectations for a high-quality resin garage kit.

Major deformation, missing components, significant printing failures or defects that materially prevent normal assembly are treated separately and should be reported to us.

12. Hand-Painted Pieces and Artistic Variation

Every hand-painted Mimic3DPrint piece is individually prepared and painted.

Small differences in:

  • colour tones;

  • gradients;

  • weathering;

  • textures;

  • highlights;

  • shadows;

  • placement of very small painted details

may occur between individual pieces.

These variations are inherent to hand-painted work and are not automatically defects where the delivered piece remains consistent with the product description, reference imagery and expected quality standard.

A significant error, damage or material difference from the agreed product remains covered by applicable consumer rights.

13. Digital Renders and Physical Products

Some product listings may include digital renders created by the original sculptor alongside photographs of physical products.

A digital render represents the design of the sculpt but is not itself a photograph of the final resin product.

Minor differences can occur when translating a digital sculpt into a physical printed, assembled and painted collectible.

Where a physical Mimic3DPrint example is available, we aim to identify it clearly.

Material differences from the product description or agreed specifications remain subject to applicable consumer protections.

14. Damage Caused After Delivery

The legal guarantee does not cover damage caused after delivery by circumstances attributable to the customer, such as:

  • accidental breakage;

  • incorrect assembly;

  • excessive force during fitting;

  • inappropriate sanding or cutting;

  • improper glues, paints, primers or solvents;

  • heat exposure or unsuitable storage conditions;

  • modifications made to the product;

  • normal wear resulting from use.

This does not affect any rights relating to defects that already existed when the product was delivered.

15. Refunds Following Withdrawal

Where a valid statutory withdrawal is exercised, we will refund payments due under applicable law without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision to withdraw.

For sales of physical goods, we may withhold the refund until:

  • we have received the returned goods; or

  • you provide evidence that the goods have been sent back,

whichever occurs first.

Refunds are normally issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise.

16. Original Shipping Costs

For an eligible statutory withdrawal, the refund includes the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order where required by law.

If you chose a more expensive shipping method, such as an expedited or premium delivery option, the additional cost above our standard delivery method is not required to be refunded.

Return shipping costs remain the customer's responsibility for a standard change-of-mind withdrawal unless we expressly agree otherwise or applicable law requires otherwise.

17. Refunds for Faulty or Incorrect Products

A return caused by:

  • a product defect;

  • non-conformity;

  • an incorrect item sent by us;

  • another issue for which Mimic3DPrint is legally responsible

is not treated as an ordinary change-of-mind return.

Where applicable, we will bear the necessary costs associated with providing the legally required remedy.

Please contact us before arranging the return so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

18. Refund Processing

Once a refund has been issued by us, the time required for the amount to appear in your account depends on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

We do not control processing times imposed by payment providers after the refund has been submitted.

You will receive confirmation when the refund has been processed on our side.

19. Customs Duties and Import Charges

For international orders outside the applicable customs area, import duties, taxes and carrier handling fees may be charged by local authorities or service providers.

These amounts are generally separate from payments collected by Mimic3DPrint unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

Where a customer exercises a change-of-mind return, any reimbursement of duties or import taxes charged directly by customs authorities may need to be requested from the relevant authority and is subject to local rules.

This does not affect amounts that Mimic3DPrint is legally required to refund.

20. Refused and Unclaimed Deliveries

Refusing delivery or failing to collect a parcel does not automatically constitute a valid exercise of a statutory right of withdrawal.

If you intend to withdraw from an eligible purchase, please clearly communicate your decision to us.

Where an order is returned because:

  • an incorrect address was supplied;

  • the parcel was not collected;

  • delivery was repeatedly refused without a valid legal basis;

reasonable costs incurred as a direct result may be deducted or charged where permitted by law.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

21. Exchanges

Because most Mimic3DPrint products are made to order, we do not operate a traditional automatic exchange programme.

If you would prefer another scale, finish or product, contact us.

Where legally and practically possible, the original order can be handled as a return and the replacement as a new order.

Any statutory rights remain unaffected.

22. Products Purchased as Gifts

The same return and withdrawal conditions apply to products purchased as gifts.

Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.

If the order is intended for a birthday, holiday, convention or other specific date, please contact us before ordering.

Production estimates are not guaranteed event-delivery dates unless expressly confirmed by us in writing.

23. Legal Guarantee

Consumers purchasing goods from Mimic3DPrint benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity required by applicable consumer law.

For consumers in the European Union, goods are covered by a minimum two-year legal guarantee from delivery.

This legal guarantee is separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal.

The right of withdrawal concerns an eligible customer's decision to change their mind about an online purchase.

The legal guarantee concerns products that are faulty or do not conform to the contract.

Neither right replaces the other.

24. Consumers Outside the European Union

Consumer rights vary between countries.

Where mandatory consumer legislation in your country grants rights beyond or different from those described in this policy, those mandatory rights continue to apply.

Unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Mimic3DPrint, we do not automatically offer a general change-of-mind return right outside jurisdictions where such a right is mandatory.

This does not affect claims relating to faulty, damaged, incorrect or non-conforming products.

25. Return Address

Please do not send a return without contacting us first, as we may need to provide specific packing or shipping instructions for fragile resin components.
